Saints Row IV: Re-Elected takes the series’ open-world chaos and drops it into a simulation, which gives the Saints (led by their own president) actual superpowers to run, jump, and blast their way across a digitized version of the city. The framing device matters here: because it’s all a construct run by an alien warlord named Zinyak, the game doesn’t have to justify why you can sprint up buildings or throw fire around a street corner. It just does it, and the campaign leans into that freedom instead of apologizing for it. Combat still revolves around a big arsenal of guns and vehicles, but the powers are what change the rhythm of missions, turning routine objectives into something closer to a sandbox playground. This Re-Elected edition also folds in both DLC mission packs along with a stack of extra weapons, vehicles, wardrobe pieces, and homies, so what would’ve been a season of add-ons is already sitting in the base package.
