Bounty Train drops you in charge of a locomotive somewhere in the American frontier of the 1800s, and everything you do flows through that train. You outfit it car by car, deciding what it’s built to do (haul cargo, fight off attackers, carry more crew), then send it rolling across a map dotted with real towns and cities. Along the way you’re buying low and selling high, taking on jobs that need hauling or protecting, and managing a crew whose skills matter when things go sideways. And things do go sideways: bandits, hostile encounters, and the occasional mechanical failure force you into decisions that can be talked, bought, or shot through, depending on how you’ve built your outfit and your reputation. Layered under the resource-and-trade loop is a story about reuniting with family and the historical upheaval facing Native peoples, with room to align yourself with one of several factions and actually shift how those events play out.
