About this game

The Green Light drops you into the shoes of Fred, a guy so worn down by his dead-end job and the drudgery that comes with it that when a strange voice cuts through his radio one night promising an escape, he actually listens. That voice points him toward a lighthouse somewhere out in the dark, and what starts as a strange errand turns into something much heavier: a trip through Fred’s own head, and a real question about what “freedom” costs when you go looking for it.

How it plays

This is a first-person game built around exploration and atmosphere rather than combat or twitch reflexes. You’re walking through Fred’s world (and eventually his mind) as the mystery of the radio voice and the lighthouse unfolds around you. As an indie adventure title with simulation elements, expect the pace to lean slow and deliberate: environments to poke through, small routines and job-related monotony that set up who Fred is before things get strange, and a narrative that unspools as you move forward rather than through cutscenes dumped on you all at once. The horror here sounds like it comes from dread and implication more than jump scares, with the game asking you to sit with Fred’s headspace as much as it asks you to solve anything.
