About this game
Endless Void: Idle Tower Defence strips the genre down to one cannon and a dark screen full of things that want it dead. You are not building a maze or placing a dozen turrets. You are growing a single tower, over many runs, into something absurd. It is an incremental game with a tower defense skin, and it knows exactly what it is.
How it plays
Each run follows the same rhythm: shoot, upgrade, die, repeat. Enemies come in waves that never truly end, so every attempt is about how far your current build can push before it gets overwhelmed. What you earn carries forward into permanent upgrades, which means the next run starts stronger than the last. That is the hook, and it is a familiar and effective one.
The depth comes from the systems layered on top. There is a talent tree with more than 1,000 nodes, including Keystones that change how your tower behaves. Your firepower can grow into flashy tools like Orbital Strikes, Black Holes, and chain Lightning. Bosses drop Scrap, which feeds a crafting system where you craft, enhance, reforge, and salvage gear with randomized stats. A drone bay lets you automate parts of the fight with shield drones, economy-boosting drones, and kamikaze bombers. There is also a Laboratory that keeps researching permanent upgrades while the game is closed, so you still make progress when you step away.
Difficulty is split into Normal, Hard, and Void Mode, which scales without a ceiling. The look is deliberately simple: clean vector shapes, a CRT-style glow, and synth-wave music, meant to keep things readable when the screen gets messy.
Who it’s for
If you like incremental games, theory-crafting builds, and watching numbers climb, this is aimed squarely at you. The big talent tree and loot crafting give you plenty to tinker with, and the offline research suits people who like checking in on a game rather than living in it. Collectors may also like that the 35-plus tower cores and skins are unlocked through milestones and achievements, with no microtransactions.
Skip it if you want a story, hand-placed tower puzzles, or constant moment-to-moment skill demands. The loop is built around repetition and long-term growth, and that will wear thin for anyone who wants variety in scenery or structure.
Is it worth it?
For the right player, a game like this can eat a lot of hours, and the lack of paid extras means the value is all in the progression itself. If the incremental formula has hooked you before, it is easy to see this being a good fit. If you are unsure, it is the kind of game that makes sense to pick up when it goes on sale, since the appeal depends on whether the loop clicks for you.
