Cluck And Tag runs on a simple switch: everyone starts out chasing chickens, and one player starts out chasing everyone else. If you’re not the Hunter, your job is to track down chickens that scatter and hide across the map, haul them back to the vendor for points, and generally keep your distance from whoever’s it. You’ve also got a beach ball on hand, and lobbing it at a rival forces them to drop whatever chickens they’re carrying, which is a nice bit of petty sabotage when someone’s about to cash in a big haul. The moment the Hunter tags you, though, the job flips: you stop scoring and start chasing, and your only goal is to pass the curse to the nearest sucker before time runs out. That constant role reversal, paired with jumping and climbing to get around the map, is really what carries the whole game. There’s an offline option against bots for when you don’t have people to play with, though the online matches against real players are clearly the main event.
