Reapers Reception drops you into the shoes of a young woman with one night and one job: find out who murdered her sister fifteen years ago. The catch is that her only lead has walked into a hotel that exists specifically to shelter criminals from the outside world, and she’s the one working the front desk. It’s a moody premise built for a single, tense shift, and the whole game seems to hinge on that ticking clock rather than on any open-ended exploration.

How it plays

The job itself is check-in duty, except every guest who walks through the door might be lying about who they are. You’re expected to read people, cross-reference what they tell you against police files, and decide who gets a room and who gets flagged. With something like 80 guests to process, each carrying their own backstory, there’s a real breadth of character writing here, and the game backs it up with full voice acting plus optional phone calls that flesh out the hotel’s history.
