The Way is a cinematic sci-fi platformer built in the mold of Another World and Flashback, and if that lineage means anything to you, you already know roughly what you’re signing up for: slow, atmospheric exploration on an alien world, a story about grief and obsession, and death waiting behind almost every screen transition. You play a space explorer who can’t accept the loss of the woman he loved, and who chases a fragment of ancient writing about eternal life all the way to another planet in hopes of getting her back.
