About this game

Agents of Mayhem is Volition’s spin-off from the Saints Row universe, swapping that series’ anarchic gangster energy for a globe-trotting spy cartoon full of oversized personalities and even bigger explosions. It’s an open-world action game built around a roster of playable operatives taking on a cartoonishly evil organization, and the hook is simple: instead of one hero, you get a whole agency of them, each with a different feel in a fight.

How it plays

You run missions through the city of Seoul as part of MAYHEM, a group formed to take down LEGION, a villain outfit split into factions modeled on the seven deadly sins. The immediate draw is squad-based play: you pick a team of Agents, each with a distinct look, personality, weapon set, and skills, and swap between them as you tear through LEGION’s operatives and plans. Missions send you after specific villains and objectives scattered across the open world, and the tone leans into over-the-top, comic-book style action rather than anything grounded or serious. The variety comes from character choice as much as level design. Two different Agents tackling the same fight can feel like two different games, which is the whole point of building a roster instead of a single protagonist.
