About this game

Brunch Club is a couch party game about cooking under pressure, built by a small team at Foggy Box Games and published through Yogscast Games back in 2019. The hook is right there in the level names: each stage is a cheeky riff on a movie title (Fry Hard, Game of Cones, and so on), and each one borrows a mechanic loosely inspired by that film to turn a simple cooking task into a small obstacle course. It’s the kind of game you pull out when people are already gathered around one screen and someone says “got anything we can all play?”

How it plays

The main mode has you and however many friends racing a clock to finish a level’s cooking tasks before time runs out, with your best runs tracked on online leaderboards if you want to chase a faster clear. Mess up and the level resets outright, so runs live or die on communication and not panicking when something goes sideways. Adding more players actually tightens the time limit rather than loosening it, which flips the usual “more hands make light work” logic on its head. Beyond the main course, there’s Face/Off, a head-to-head mode where two players either race to finish their own task or actively sabotage each other, and a handful of smaller side games like Five Second Rule and Riceball Rumble for when the main mode’s pressure gets to be too much. Everything supports local play, and you can mix keyboards and controllers at the same table, or use something like Steam Play Together or Parsec to bring in remote friends.

Who it’s for

This is squarely a game for groups: people who already have a rotation of couch co-op titles and want something silly to slot in alongside them.
