How it plays

The Last Oricru drops you into the role of Silver, a human who wakes up on Warenia, a planet caught between medieval tribalism and leftover sci-fi tech, right as two factions are about to go to war. You’re not handed a script. Every conversation and choice nudges the story toward one outcome or another, and the game leans hard into that unpredictability rather than funneling you down a single path. Combat sits closer to the deliberate, stamina-managed style of an action RPG than a hack-and-slash button masher, with parry timing and positioning mattering more than raw stats. You can take the whole campaign into co-op with another player, which changes the rhythm of fights considerably since you’re now coordinating instead of just reacting. The game has also been reworked since launch, with an added map and navigation markers, a friendlier save system, and clearer tutorials, so it’s a less punishing entry point than it originally was for people who don’t want to puzzle out every mechanic through trial and error.

Who it’s for

This one’s aimed at players who like their RPGs a bit rough around the edges and their combat deliberate rather than fast-paced.
