About this game
Loot Gobblin’ Together drops you into a co-op heist game where the twist is that your inventory is your own stomach. You and up to seven friends play gremlin-like burglars scaling houses, apartments, and stranger places, cramming as much loot as you can fit inside yourselves before a very impatient Gobblin King runs out of patience and calls the job. It’s part physics platformer, part heist, and part slapstick disaster generator, and that combination is what makes it stand out from the usual co-op shooter crowd.
How it plays
Each run sends your crew after a target home, and getting in is rarely as simple as walking through the front door. You climb walls, stretch your arms, shimmy up pipes, and boost each other onto rooftops to find whatever crack in the building will let you inside. Once you’re in, every piece of loot you eat adds to your haul, but it also drains your stamina, so a gobblin stuffed full of stolen silverware climbs and jumps a lot worse than one who traveled light. That tension between greed and mobility is the whole game: grab too much and you might not make it back out with your limbs intact, dodging fireballs, alert homeowners, bad falls, and cats that clearly hate gobblins. Classic mode has your crew chasing a loot quota for the King across four increasingly dangerous neighborhoods, with random events keeping runs from feeling repeatable. There’s also a social deduction mode layered on top, where one or more gobblins in your crew might be working against the group entirely, which turns a straightforward heist into a game of figuring out who’s hoarding, sabotaging, or otherwise not pulling their weight.
Who it’s for
This is built for groups, ideally a full or near-full lobby of people who like a bit of chaos and don’t mind failing spectacularly together. If you enjoyed the wave of physics-comedy co-op games where things go wrong in funny, shareable ways, the climbing and loot-hoarding mechanics here will feel familiar and give you a genuine reason to keep pushing your luck. The social deduction mode adds appeal for groups that like a little friendly betrayal mixed into their teamwork. If you’re mostly a solo player or you want a tight, scripted single-player adventure, this isn’t really built with you in mind since the whole design leans on having other people in the run with you.
Is it worth it?
For the right group, a co-op game with this much physical comedy and this many ways for a heist to fall apart tends to earn its keep, especially with four escalating locations and a mode structure that gives you both a steady progression loop and a social twist to fall back on when you want something different. It’s the kind of game that rewards having a regular crew rather than random matchmaking, so weigh that before committing. If it ever lands in a sale, it’s a solid pickup for anyone who already has friends lined up to play it with.
